This was another cloudy day in Dayton, but we got some GREAT finds: a BNSF unit tank car train with a colorful lashup, a BNSF freight with a six-diesel lashup, some friendly engineers, and my personal favorite: the first KCS SD70ACe!!!

7:57 - Cool! A KCS freight heads through the hill near Dayton with THE VERY FIRST KCS SD70ACE!!! :D The engineer also gave a shave-and-a-haircut as he was coming!

10:20 - Down in Devers, a UP freight with a friendly driver starts up and heads up the Lafayette sub. We saw this heading through the Dayton yard later in the day, but the video I took of it was really bad.

17:08 - Big lashup! A BNSF freight with six GEs, including an NS unit, crawls toward the Baytown sub. Before this train, the rock train moved into the yard and left once the BNSF train passed.

19:31 - We chased the rock train up the line and caught him at a crossing on the side of the road. This engineer was also friendly!

22:12 - Another BNSF freight slowly backs up into the Baytown sub. I'm guessing that he was either switching cars in the large yard on that line, or he originated from the Lafayette sub and was heading into the Baytown sub.
