Dad and I went out on this nice day to Beaumont to do some railfanning, but this fun day turned shocking when we heard that a woman tried to commit suicide by getting hit by a train. The woman had initially survived the hit, but I'm not sure if she was able to recover. Let this video be a good lesson on life: life is too precious to end quickly, any bad phase in life is only temporary, and as the All-American Rejects say: even when your hope is gone, move along!

4:42 - Another KCS grain train, this time EB, heads by. Sadly, this was the train that hit the woman, and it happened at the Amtrak station just a few minutes after leaving the yard. Fortunately, the train was moving slow at the time, but not slow enough to stop in time.

5:32 - When Dad and I heard what happened on the scanner, we drove over to the station to see what happened. There were some ambulances and police cars around the train along with paramedics and police men attending the scene. They had to pause for a while, though, when a UP local with an old diesel trailing passed by.
