I've been very busy in school, so I had to go railfanning when I got this small break. Although I didn't see much today, what I did see was sweet!
0:00 - Some switch action in Dayton at the Baytown sub yard, though plants got in the way. I was also surprised to see UPY 816 since it's usually switching in Beaumont.

3:14 - In Liberty in a great fall setting, a UP freight crawls through with one of the best K3HA's I've heard.

8:14 - I went to this crossing North of Liberty on the Beaumont sub to catch the Amtrak. It has a very nice straight-away through trees.
8:38 - Catch of the day! Instead of the Amtrak, a freight rolls through with a CSX Tier 4 GEVO leading!!! It was strange because the Amtrak was very close behind this.

11:45 - Shortly later, the Sunset Limited #2 CRAWLS through with an angry K5LA. I wonder when this train will put on the new viewliner baggage cars. And can someone explain the dripping water from the last car (sorry that it's hard to see)?

14:52 - A stopped BNSF freight in Dayton by some MoW cars. It later moved onto the Baytown sub as I was leaving for home.

15:00 - I nearly missed this UP freight while trying to find a good crossing to setup at. Interesting how there was a MoW flat car at the end.

17:06 - At the end of the day, I saw this elephant-style switch train in the distance. I wanted it to reverse so I could get the CCRCL's front, but it never did. A train that I didn't see with a K3LA also left on the Lafayette sub while I was waiting.
